Then we have since found out that the water in the house is a slew of reasons bottom line being Ive been deathly ill for a year and half. And now were informed we've all been exposed to heavy metal poisening. I have appt. with Kaiser after we move??? in San Francisco in toxicology dept to discuss the treatments I will be going threw to get back to healthy. We've had many hardships since moving into 106 East spring st . My Husband has worked for At &T in Santa Rosa and we have nothing right now.

I've worked on and off with Tenants Together up until the notices. I am not sure how many or what number I'm on. Today after calling multiple times a month to stay in the know, I was advised the LL filed a proof of service. I called on Wed morning and paper were filed later that evening. so when I called to inquire if anything was filed since I have not been served and the date LL advised she served me was on 5/14. All I could do was cry, I had done everything in my power call because the LL attempted to do the same to previous tenants.

Since I've been here 5 years ago, this was my very first ap. And upon signing and taken him at his word. I found roaches, spiders, and stains of what I believe to be mold. My stove went out last year, it took four months to get another one. and when the a/c went out knowing how long it took for a stove, im on heat meds, so home depot was my best bet. I gave him back his free on craigslist a/c

I have lived at this location since July 1992. I am retired, on a fixed income. My landlord, when raising the rent justifies by comparing newer and upgraded properties in the immediate area. Ther is an increase in new developments in the South Bay, but very little constructions for affordable housings. My building is falling apart, with damage from the 89 earthquake, which seems to be getting worse. If we want items replaced due to wear and tear the tenants have to contribute half the cost for replacement.

My husband, daughter and myself had a fixed lease dated 1/12/12 to rent a section of the home that was illegaly made into a duplex and ended up with a gas leak that wasnt even fixrd. On 6/28/13 the property sold just shy of being auctioned we never met new owner still to this day. Sept. 2013 i told old landlord i wont pay him to comtact new owner....never did, in Dec 2013 old landlord shows up with a man claiming to be brother of new owner no papers to prove it. They asked or told just us not other tenants to move out by Jan 2, 2014 on Dec 30, 13.

WE WERE GIVEN A 60 DAY NOTICE DATED THE 14TH OF NOV. SENT THROUGH THE MAIL. THE DAY TO BE OUT IS THE 15TH.OF JAN. WE DIDN'T GET THE NOTICE UNTILL THE 22ND. OF NOV. WE HAVE LOOKED DILIGENTLY THROUGH THE HOLLIDAYS. AND THAT'S BESIDES MY WIFE HAVING A HEARTATACK 3 DATS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. NO ONE HAS CALLED BACK. WE HAVE NO WHERE TO GO! MY WIFE TRIED. TO CALL THE OWNER TO GIVE US MORE TIME. SHE SAID," NO!" SHE TOLD ME I WAS BEING UNREASONABLE. WE WERE TOLD THE NEW TENNENTS MOVING IN WERE NOT GOING TO MAKE NOISE. WE GAVE THE THEM 3 MONTHS TO MOVE IN AND STOP.

My rent was raised $350 to an amount that is over 52% of my monthly income - higher than I am able to pay and still meet my other necessary expenses.

I am a senior and a disabled Veteran. I rely on SSDI as my sole income, and depend on HUD Section 8 for housing.

I believe I am a victim of discrimination because of my source of income and socioeconomic status. It is no secret that property owners want to "get rid of" Section 8 tenants for any number of reasons, many of which are based on prejudice and class discrimination.
