Finding/applying for rental housing

mary

we have had our companion animals for several years my passion is a maltipoo. my daughters companion is frankie, also her best friend, mgmt claims we never told them about our dogs. my pet deposit was waived upon move in due to passion being my companion. We got frankie for amanda. she was taking a year off of lithium and neurontin, and find alternative coping skills. In november when mgmt became aware of our disabilities stating we do not look disabled, and refused us a transfer to another property because we have 2 dogs asmall one and a huge white dog, they only allow pocket dogs.

I have been renting this "granny unit" for one year now and the owners son moved back into the rental. I have been given notice but have not been able to find a place and and now moved out into the basement of the rental until I can find a place. I need a place asap or I will be on the street. I have three children and two go to Atascadero Schools. I am trying to find work and an apartment at the same time. I recieve 1,000 child support each month. I am in desperate need of a place. Can anyone please help me so that I don't end up on the street.

After several years of receiving notices that the home we rent was in foreclosure, we finally received official notice it had foreclosed. We have almost used up our 90 days and have been unable to locate a home to rent. I am working on getting my credit score up to purchase a home, but for now we need to continue renting. I have been unable to locate a suitable house for our family. I am not sure why, but there are not many homes currently for rent. We need a home with at least 4 bedrooms considering we have three children. When a home this size becomes available, it is quickly rented.

In April 2009, we were notified that the property we were renting, was going up for public auction. This was after April's rent was paid. We heard no more until 2 ladies knocked on our door the 3rd of June and announced that the bank was taking the property,
and we needed to be out by July 1st.

I was NEVER late on my rent, was a quiet neighbor and any minor repairs needed to be done, I did them myself. (well, my son did them)

Our landlord would come every month for rent. In october he didn't come. His wife then came around 28th of Oct. stating we need 2 pay or deal with bank i then told her i would pay her on Nov.3rd both months and she then refused saxing it was 2 late. we then found a notice on the door that ho me was on foreclosure and was being auctioned on Jan.9 Two wks after this date the landlords wife shows up demanding that we have to vacate by the 28th because the home didnt end up getting foreclosed. Now she is stating she going to serve me with a 3-day eviction.

I moved to Santa Monica in 1974 and have been renting my home ever since. In those 36 years I have lived in 16 different rentals: 10 apartments & 6 houses from Santa Monica to Santa Barbara to Daly City and finally Pacifica, CA.

In nov 2008 we find out our landlord was in default. We told him we knew and would not pay rent so we could have money for a new place. In Feb 2009 we found a new place told owners what happened they assured us that would not happen. in Jun 09 husband went on disability, we got beind in rent in Oct. Landlord served us a 3 day on 10/30(it was filled out wrong) on 10/31, four certified letters came for the owners. On 11/2 we gave them the certified letters, informed them the 3 day was invalid, and that we would not pay the rent so we could save mone for yet another place.

I am permanently disabled and live on $840 mo. Social Security benefits. I was homeless for 9 months last year because of my credit after a divorce and not having a security deposit. I cannot live in Grass Valley, which is my home, because of the extremely exclusionary housing there. Their waiting lists are long for apartments, and their rents are very high; also, they are very picky about credit. Now I live in a place I don't want to be, and am very rent burdened. I don't have enough money for food and necessities. The waiting list for Section 8 is very long.
