We are a small nonprofit organization, and our core work, including our Tenants' Rights Hotline and supporting tenant organizing campaigns statewide is only possible with the support of volunteers and interns. Our office based in San Francisco is relaxed and fun to work in, however, have transitioned all our efforts to be done online so that our volunteers are able to participate remotely during the ongoing health crisis. We are passionate about what we do, we enjoy our work, and we support each other.
Tenants Together Volunteer Community Leadership initiative is lead by the Knowledge Is Power (KIP) program. The KIP Program was forged amidst 2021 COVID-19 global pandemic to coordinate and develop Tenants Together Statewide Tenants Right Hotline; update and develop education materials for individual tenant members who engage through the hotline; and create a pathway for tenant leaders to engage in the housing justice movement as volunteers.
