Change of ownership/new landlord

Anna

I'm a sr citizen and I live in a mobile home park that was a senior park for many years. 12 years ago, it was bought by a greedy Corportion, Kort & Scott, and made an all-age park. Immediately, we were subjected to rent-gouging by as much as $79.00/mo. annual increase and it continues to almost now, $1000.oo/mo and more. Most of the senior citizens are retired, on small fixed incomes and many have been economically evicted. Park maintenance has gone way down and there does not seem to be any "cap" on rent space increases for the future.

We live in a park on Bethel Island. In the rural areas of Contra Costa County there is rent control for mobilehome owners. My in-laws bought their mobilehome in this park approx 13 years ago. 10 years ago the property was bought by a couple who's dreams were to turn the 15 acre park into a premier Delta family resort. Our new "slumlord" was a very pompous, rude discriminatory a****le. They courted a tremendous group of private investors whose investment money was supposed to be used for improvements, expansion and initial costs to buy their very own franchise.

My landlord just signed a new 1 year lease with me and collected the yearly rent. I have a fixed income and pay this way to help budget my expenses. I find out 3 days after the payment was made that my unit was sold at trustee sale. The bank bought it back and is threatening eviction. I am a widowed single parent, visually disabled with a disabled child. My land lord has 1750 in security and pet deposits, my 1 year of rent and labor bills for repairs made last year. I have nothing left to move with. The bank has offered 900 cash for keys but that wouldn't cover rent on a new place.

Hello, my name is Donna, and I need some advice or info on my rights as a mobile home owner.
My situation is lengthy in detail so I will only disclose the immediate issues. If you have questions then I would be glad to answer.

Parkmerced one of the largest rental apartment communities in SF, recently received a nomination as a "marvel of modernism" by the cultural landscape foundation. (www.tclf.org) The recent changes by the current owner, and sales of land to San Francisco State University (www.sfsumasterplan.org) which approved changes to the overall prior masterplanned development of parkmerced through the use of a programattic EIR, vs.

Firstly, we are a victim of US Immigration mismanagement resulting in my wife's application to adjust status was jeopardized and she can't be resourceful.
The discrimination and retaliation by a welknown health care institution provider in the Inland Empire is a real trip.

Dear Governor S.,

My name is David Lee Frater. I am a disabled 55 year old man who has been disabled for the last 6 years. I used to be a principal systems analyst, the rank above a senior systems analyst, for all of my adult life after college before I became disabled. I worked, and worked very hard for nearly 30 years before becoming disabled.

I am a wheel chair user on a fixed income who cannot find nor afford to move to affordable handicapped accessible housing in my neighborhood - the westside.

The renters rebate has been the one source of small help in my continually rising rental cost.

I recently was forced out of my apt. after 14+ yrs. by a new owner of my previous apt.! He raised my rent $600.00 more knowing that I am forced to live on a fixed income (S.S. Disability)which hardly paid my rent previously. And even if I was able to pay that increase, he insisted I get rid of my three small dogs..one who had grown up in this apt. (she is 15)& was never a problem to anyone! I have no family so these were/are my "children." For all 14+ years I was told I was the best tenant the building ever had.
