Change of ownership/new landlord

James

The new landlord at this residence is a slumlord. He does not maintain the premises, pool routinely shut down by health dept, he illegally mandates increases in both rent and security deposits, does illegal construction on premises, caught dumping caustic pool chemicals to the public street, implemented reduced tenant access to onsite resources, shuts off plumbing routinely without prior notice, and evicts tenants who cause him any form of problem when they stand up for their rights.

Hi,

I am a senior and on limited income. Fannie Mae aquired the property from its previous owner last year. I signed a lease with them for 1 year which next month on the 30th. They just sent me a 60 day notice to move. I have been living in this property for 4 years now.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac,bought all the bundled up junk mortgages from the banks. They are actually the ones doing the evictions. Now, I am not a conspiracy theory guy, but a realist. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are manipulating the market by withholding inventory. They are not only evicting homeowners, but tenants of income properties and not re-renting, or selling the property. Please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A0tW_g2bNg. This is a short film we made. It's a little "artsy" at times, but gets the point across well.

I moved into a home that was filthy, The front yard was filled with dangerous debri and fire hazards. The property management group instructed me to "disperse the debri over 10 acres". The property apparently was used for a marijuana grow house. The electricity wires are carelessly wired to the box. The management waited 6 months to clean out the marijuana and the growing chemicals from our shed. We have had nothing but plumbing issues since we arrived only 7 months ago. The management refuses to address.

My husband, daughter and myself had a fixed lease dated 1/12/12 to rent a section of the home that was illegaly made into a duplex and ended up with a gas leak that wasnt even fixrd. On 6/28/13 the property sold just shy of being auctioned we never met new owner still to this day. Sept. 2013 i told old landlord i wont pay him to comtact new owner....never did, in Dec 2013 old landlord shows up with a man claiming to be brother of new owner no papers to prove it. They asked or told just us not other tenants to move out by Jan 2, 2014 on Dec 30, 13.
