Discrimination

It is very simply. I have lived in this house for just over three years, and have never once been late on my rent, and always paid the full $900.00 a month. I have not damaged the house in any way. I have let the back yard go, because I became ill and could not afford to hire anyone to keep it up. My landlady lives right next door and spys on everything I do in the yard. My ex-wife visits here part of the time,to help take care of our Grandchildren and she is 100% disabled through the social security, so she cannot do very much in the line of yardwork.

we have had our companion animals for several years my passion is a maltipoo. my daughters companion is frankie, also her best friend, mgmt claims we never told them about our dogs. my pet deposit was waived upon move in due to passion being my companion. We got frankie for amanda. she was taking a year off of lithium and neurontin, and find alternative coping skills. In november when mgmt became aware of our disabilities stating we do not look disabled, and refused us a transfer to another property because we have 2 dogs asmall one and a huge white dog, they only allow pocket dogs.

I learned on my own that my rental house is in foreclosure, asked landlord and the refused to answer. I'm holding the rent for April 2010 till they officially disclose it. Real Estate agent says sale date in June 7. I don't know where to pay the rent and who are real owner of the house. Landlord give me quit notice and submitted small claim notice that I didn't pay rent since January 1st, which is not true, they requested cash and I have been paying the rent till March. Landlord never give me quit notice before April because I paid the rent and now saying I didn't.

I moved to Santa Monica in 1974 and have been renting my home ever since. In those 36 years I have lived in 16 different rentals: 10 apartments & 6 houses from Santa Monica to Santa Barbara to Daly City and finally Pacifica, CA.

So I rented this place with a roommate. and after having some disputes with her, she started lying and distorting my personal life to the landlord! Now the landlord refuses to renew my lease, AND is keeping my deposit!! When I try to confront the landlord, she calls me a liar for trying to explain things. I was served a 30 day notice for breaching the lease, even though the roommate breached the lease AND I'm liable for ANY damage throughout the apartment even though my roommate and I signed different leases.

I am choosing to write about the diverse challenges that central valley residents tend to encounter. I have rented in California for over 25 years. In that time, I have always encountered a loss of security deposits for many reasons, most fabricated lies by the owner/landlord. I have tried to contest these thieves repeatedly with no success or laws to protect me. They steal the money, simply stated.

Hi my name is cindy and i live in the san joaquin valley and my landlord didn't tell me and my daughter that he had 101 health code violations and after i gave him the money we where moving our stuff in the apt he told us that we couldn't move are stuff in the apt because code enforcement would cut his throat if they found any one living in the apt because he they have to check first and so we asked when would code enforcement be able to check are room he said in 2 or 3 days so we waited and the 3 days it was 5 days later .
