Hello so we live in a complex of 8 units/apartments they are old and small we have been dealing with the landlord/owner of the complex we are the longest tenants who have lived here and let me say not by choice we want to move but have learned its very hard to get your deposit back not due to things youve done but due to the neglect of the owner/landlords failure to fix issues in your unit then turnes around and uses it as it being your foult that things are not in good condition we have seen it happen to many other tenants while we have been here and know that it to will happen to us too when we decide to move but needing our deposit back would be the only way we could move becouse money is tight my fiancé had gotten injured at work and was found permanent and stationary and we are waiting for his disability so right now we live off of less then 900.00 a month so we have been looking for help in our situation as our landlord/owner has not fixed things he is responsible to fix for a few he had a management company doing things for him and they sent in a licenced contractor to come asses and fixissues in our place one being the front door the only door in and out we were told door and frame needed replaced along with the fridge but yet it has not been done the owner/landlord was told of other issues like the new windows that were put in leaking everytime it rains but we were told its our responsibility to fix the leak onthe inside but why we didnt damage it or put the window in but yet its our responsibility to fix it but he fixed everybody elses along with he does everyone elses repairs at least the ones on housing he does but us others that dont have housing we get nothing plus if you try to tell him about issues of other tenants breaking the lease its you deal wuth it why do i have to do his job and it just goes on and on and we need help we want out but we dont want to loose our deposit when its due to his neglict not ours
