Housing Long Beach

Our vision is a Long Beach where all residents live in affordable, accessible, quality housing in healthy and empowered communities where government officials are responsive to the social and economic needs of all residents.

Our housing work focuses in four main areas:

After attempted to evict us the first time, the judge ruled in our favor for them having breached contract.due to uninhabitability, severe t roach infestation and judge lowered our rent.onwner retaliated and on filed a second eviction,no merit,no privity, frivolous.we gave $6500 in court. On 3/17/2015.They files a three day notice unbeknownst to us for $800.we were never served.default judgment by horrible commissioner in long beach.

My landlord just signed a new 1 year lease with me and collected the yearly rent. I have a fixed income and pay this way to help budget my expenses. I find out 3 days after the payment was made that my unit was sold at trustee sale. The bank bought it back and is threatening eviction. I am a widowed single parent, visually disabled with a disabled child. My land lord has 1750 in security and pet deposits, my 1 year of rent and labor bills for repairs made last year. I have nothing left to move with. The bank has offered 900 cash for keys but that wouldn't cover rent on a new place.
