Landlord bosses tenants around using intimidation. Harrassed my wife and threatened to evict her if she contacted me the husband about his complaints hed called on the phone about. The complaints may have had an ounce of legitimacy but the fact he threatens her for contacting me..Im on the road out of state most of the time..so he uses the window to harass wife. His complaints were about petty items around the building..a kids bike and car seat..nothing we weren't willing to move or adhere too..but his manners are atrocious and hes was overheard telling a brazilian tenant how he felt these people should not be on our planet..and cracks like this hes made in my presence and others. Eventually he drove our brazilian tenant out who couldnt bear his personal visits and confrontations. He uses rent raises as a means to muscle his tenants into compliance with his petty complaints..He has no likes for latin people and my wife is latina..El Salvadorean..Now we are great tenants..have been here for 6 yrs..for 9 yrs and been very respectful to property and other tenants..Extending ourselves to anyone. Have been member of community of burlingame 19 yrs now..Hes raised our rent yearly and we have always paid on time and in full..and in the beginning he didnt really bother us..Its just these past few years hes getting unbearable. but i think hes tryin to drive tenants out to turn the entire building section 8..he thinks hes going to have a financial safe haven..getting government money.. that's our take..but meanwhile we have to find a place to live..and its turning our lives inside out..our kid is gonna have to be pulled from her school..unreal headaches..for what? just because he can.
