I FOUND OUT MY LANDLORDS HOUSE WAS BEING FORECLOSED ON. I INFORMED HIM THAT I WISHED TO MOVE, BECAUSE I HAD KID STARTING SCHOOL AND DIDNT WANT TO UPROOT THEM AFTER THE SCHOOL YEAR STARTED. HE DENIED MY REQUEST TO MOVE EVEN THOUGH I ONLY HAD 2 MONTHS LEFT ON MY LEASE. HE ALSO DENIED THAT THE HOUSE WAS IN FORECLOSURE AND OFFERED ME A NEW LEASE FOR LESS RENT. LONG STORY SHORT I DECIDED TO MOVE FOR MY KIDS SAKE, AFTER GIVING HIM A 30 DAY NOTICE, HE CLAIMED ABANDONMENT AND IS NOW TAKING ME TO COURT ON A FRIVOLOUS LAWSUIT ASKING FOR 7500 DOLLARS IN DAMAGES. THE HOUSE IS CURRENTLY IN ESCROW BEING SOLD BY THE BANK IN A SHORT SALE. WHAT DO I DO. IN HIS LAW SUIT EVERYTHING BUT THE FACT THAT I MOVED OUT 2 MONTHS EARLY IS A FLAT OUT LIE.
