In a year and half I have rented 3 homes in which all 3 have gone into forclouser. The first house was excusable, but the second we only lived there 10 months and with the landlord knowing that we had just come from a forclosed home we made it clear that we did not want to go through this. That didnt seem to matter because 10 months later we were moving again. We did not get our deposit back, we took the landlords to court and won however never got our money from them. The third house the same thing we lived there a year the landlord was a crook, he didnt fix things that were danergeous, he quit paying the gardner as he told him that we were not happy with his service which was a lie. We took him to court and he lied through his teeth and he won.
We have lost thousands of dollars not to mention that I had a 90 year old mom who is now in home and due to her age all this moving pretty much pushed her over the edge. I also had a quadraplegic friend who had to go live some where else on his own. This has been a nightmare Money that was our gone. The law says its wrong but not illegal that really makes a whole lot of sense. I am not a rich person and this disturbs me but what really disturbs me is that my mom had to go through all of this.
