The Self-Help Legal Access Center provides informational assistance to self-represented litigants in the following types of civil cases:

1) Unlawful Detainer

2) Collection

3) Guardianship and Conservatorship

4) Civil Harassment Restraining Order

5) Name Change

6) Step-Parent Adoption

7) Expungements of misdemeanors and infractions only. 

Self-Help Center staff can help you with selecting and completing the appropriate forms and providing you with general legal information and information regarding the status of your case. Self-Help Center staff does not represent you in court, does not provide legal advice and cannot assist you if you are currently being represented by an attorney. Communications between you and the Self-Help Center staff are NOT confidential. Visitors are helped on a first-come first-served basis, and interpreters cannot be guaranteed.

8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It closes during the lunch hour from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
