Housing conditions/habitability

Joy

We rented from the same lady in Davis for 3 years. We were informed that we would share PGE and our mailbox and the trash bins upon move in. We had numerous tenants that lived behind us move out and not pay their portion of the PGE which turned out to be considerable. The 4 plex was not zoned correctly so there was no way to tell how much the water or the electricity was and so we were forced to guess each month. The first place we rented from, the roaches were so bad that I couldn't walk through a room without turning on the lights.

I moved into my home with expectations of something amazing. That turned to hell when my realtor (who takes care of everything because the property manager never gets off her ass to do anything) let a friend stay in the house i'm currently in before i was there. well he never paid for his electric bill and subsequently mine was shut off because they couldn't determine if was related to them and had to do an investigation. Thus kicking me out of my house for two weeks. Then after that, the garage i had been promised would be fixed so i could stop using the one with the hole in the roof.

Dear Governor S.,

My name is David Lee Frater. I am a disabled 55 year old man who has been disabled for the last 6 years. I used to be a principal systems analyst, the rank above a senior systems analyst, for all of my adult life after college before I became disabled. I worked, and worked very hard for nearly 30 years before becoming disabled.

-Management had tenant stay nextdoor to me who had gangraped a mutual friend after not working for two or three months and coming and going in and out of my apartment when I had my back-door open to air out the place or was inside my apartment and had the front door unlocked.

-Stabbing of a tenant occured with crack gang that had not been convicted by police (left a dead rat for awhile on utility box to make matters worse so neighbors couldn't really call police)

William

moved from Costa Mesa, Calif., had paid 900.00 for two bedroom town house, was immaculate when I moved in 10 yrs ago. Life changes in respect to outcomes not planned by me, I found opportunity or so I thought, to move to Baning ca., where my mother of 72 yrs. lived and could need some help, I moved. I found a 2 bed 2 bath for 900.00, and accepted pets which i wanted. Was shown an apt. that would be comparable to the one they were ready for rental. I moved in upon stressful conditions; unemployment , living with relatives, etc.
