Landlord sent death threatens to me and my family regarding the loss of $200 or money he lost. He harassed my family constantly for rent afterwards and changed the locks when we were late a few times on rent . He threthen to throw our belongings outside in trash bags and entered our rental two times without giving proper notice. All these events are documented in messages between myself and my landlord via Facebook messenger.

I am a single, disabled senior citizen.  I have been living in the same duplex for 6 years.  I asked my landlord for ADA accomodations so I would not fall, and he refused.  I asked my landlord to fix the electricity in the kitchen which kept going out and he refused.  Then he raised my rent 29%.  A month later he gave me a 60 day notice to vacate.  He refuses to answer my texts, calls or letters.  I am going to be homeless at Christmas as I have no one to turn to.  The 60 day notice was taped to my front door by a law firm he obtained.  I am not late on rent and have taken good care of the

Tonight (or this morning) we are in the process of packing up our house of the last 10 nearly 11 months.  A house that we have loved and nurtured and brought from being the ugly duckling to beauty.  A house we thought would be our home for a long time.   But our landlord had other ideas and midstream decided to evict us, suggesting not a 30 day eviction but a 10 day eviction...and that is how this started - it started earlier than in July, it started even before we moved in but we didn't see the manipulative and calculated behavior she has.  The reason she evicted us is because she claims s

I was hired as a property manger for a single family dwelling with 8 rental units in Echo Park area. 1905 it was built. The day I moved in, she said I needed to provide my own heating! Some days were 55 degrees inside and warmer outside, as there was no insulation. A stroke of synchronicity, one week after I moved in, Building and Safety drives by the property on survey. Finally I have a conversation with the inspector and I asked him about the heating, he confirms heating is part of a warranty of habitability. The landlord becomes outraged.

Hi my name is Veronica and i'm in need of help and getting a lawyer. My landlord has been doing some illegal stuff around the property and as a result my PG&E got shut off. I could not put in my name or anyone elses because PG&E was requesting a legit lease from the landlord, but he would not give me one what he provided was a hand written lease stating my residence.

Today at 1:45pm EST I received a knock on my apartment door and I looked in the peephole to a unknown white female in a black blouse. I asked her who she was and she stated that she had “something to give me.” When I refused to open the door she became enraged and started kicking and bamming the door. I immediately called security feeling endangered. When I realized she was getting more enraged I called 911. When the police arrived I stated what happened and the lady walked off.

Seattle Set to Propose Eviction Reform

As Seattle’s median income has continued to rise in recent years, high-rent burdens have plagued lower-income renters, some of whom are falling behind on rent. A September 2018 report by the Seattle Women’s Commission and the Housing Justice Project of the King County Bar Association showed that 86.5 percent of the nearly 1,500 Seattle residents who faced eviction proceedings in 2017 had failed to pay their rent.

Families Facing Homelessness After Tycoon Issues Eviction Notices

Dozens of families are facing the risk of homelessness after receiving eviction notices from one of Britain’s biggest and most controversial buy-to-let tycoons.

Fergus Wilson is giving 90 households in Ashford, Kent two months to get out after he decided to sell his 700 property portfolio in the county estimated to be worth more than £200m. He is expected to issue hundreds more evictions in the coming months before retiring to “take life easy”.
