I have never been so disgusted by our court system, shady attorneys and the legal system. I have five days to pack up my home. The home we put our entire saving account into. It was our home or so we thought. Six months after moving in the home we were renting was forclosed upon. Pennymac lending services (countrywide)is the new owner. After two court dates one of which we werent in the courtroom for. Only the hallway of the court house. We have been evicted. The federal protection act protecting tenants meant nothing.

I was picketing outside of senior apts. Now manager have lied an said that I go around assulting tenants and employees to not only get me out of here but also to get me to lose my SECTION 8. I will be out in the streets with my dogs because no one is going to rent to me with what they have put on paper. I have no money for a lawyer.

In a nutshell. I am being evicted based on a term lease expiration. I was renting a house for 5 years in Chatworth, CA. During that 5 years, the landlords were constantly disturbing my quiet enjoyment by making up excuses to come to the house to work on mainly the dam sprinklers. Not having sense enough to leave when they got here. I expressed my annoyances to them on many occasions. I renewed the lease 3 times because I wanted to stay in the area since my daughter was in high school. She graduated in June 2014. The rent was increased during the five years from $1,950 to $2,200.

I volunteer to help homeless disabled find housing. In SLO County, all the subsidized housing projects have waiting lists years long, and the overwhelming majority of private landlords and property managemewnt companies refuse to accept Sec. 8, even thos who used to accept it a few years ago. Some states have a law requiring all landlords to accept Sec, 8, but CA does not. CA has a law requiring non-discrimination on the bais of income, but the state dept. ruled that "income" only includes income paid directly to the tenant, not Sec. 8, which is in-kind income paid to the landlord.

I have lived at Creekside Apartments since 2009 - but for the last two years under duress. My rent was increased 40% in 2012 when the San Mateo county average for similar units was just 14%. No negotiation, just a promise of renovation at some point in the future and the choice phrase from the manager, "...we would like to enhance your resident experience..." I was in graduate school and teaching part-time at a Cal State University in the area.

anyone having issues with companies Rancho Horizon LLC and Griffin Residental you should email help@ranchohorizonllc.com these are people who had bad dealing with them and want to get people together as they are fighting them. Not a company but a family standing up for the rights of tenants !

Our landlord's behavior toward my wife and me has been uniquely egregious. I'll share some highlights here for brevity; you might want to call me for specifics, because I believe our experiences and how we've responded to our landlord's actions may be of great help to your readers. Summary: In Oct. 2011, my wife and I entered into a 3-year residential lease agreement with a private landlord.
