Schwarzenegger Opposes Proposition 98

On Friday, April 25, Governor Schwarzenegger announced his opposition to Prop 98, which, if it passes, would abolish rent control in California.

According to Kathy Fairbanks, spokesperson on the No On 98/Yes on 99 campaign, "Governor Schwarzenegger joins a growing bi-partisan list of opponents including U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, former republican Governor Pete Wilson, U.S. Rep. George Radanovich (R-Mariposa), AARP, League of Women Voters of California, California Professional Firefighters, California Chamber of Commerce, League of California Homeowners, National Wildlife Federation, Western Growers Association, California Teachers Association and many others."
