I am not sure how to start but I will say that we moved in our dream rental 3 bedroom 2 bath home. From the moment we moved in we smelled gas. We called Pg@e and they said you must get this fixed asap. So, we called the landlord she said she would take care of it.Nothing happened for a month. So we called them out again and got a work order stating needs to be fixed asap for safety.Then the landlord contacted her contractor and he said it would cost a lot of money to fix and she would not fix it because it was going to be to much money and that we could move out for our safety and we would not penalized. Also, she harassed us daily on our vacation while in hawaii and had me to tears everyday. She accused us of not cutting the lawn for more than a month and other petty things she liked to make up. Meanwhile still not fixing the gas leak that was at 1.3%.They have to shut the gas off at 2%.I finally had enough and gave notice. Right after I did that she called Pg@E and pretended to me and then hung the phone when they asked more questions and they shut our gas off. She then accused me of making the call then said later she did it. After having no gas for 7 hours they turned it back on and she finally fixed it after all these issues.I explained to her that we had no place to live till August with our child. So now we have to live in a bedroom 3 of us with our friends that offered us a room for a month and half. We also have to pay for storage and movers. I am so besides myself. How are there landlords out there like this?
