In the end of May 2010 i found the condo i live in on a foreclosure list...wow was i surprised. I deal with an manager not the owner so i asked him....he told me it was true & how did i feel about it? duh what a dumb question. I pay my rent every month and the owner pockets the money...it don't seem fair. So i do my research go to the county recorder's office, to my surprise my owner has not paid her morgage since Nov 2009...i moved in Oct 2009. So then i call the manager back and he then gives the owner my # she calls and says do not pay June's rent. Then i talk to the mgr again and he tells me that i need to move so i tell him give me a 30 days notice. So i get notice on June 8th in the mail, which is dated June 3,2010 but not mailed till June 7, 2010 also has the date of July 28th 2010 for the expiration date of the 30 day....it's not signed. So i call him and tell him the notice is not proper the dates wrong he says, well i ment the 28th of June." i find this crazy they tell me not to pay rent which i got a money order anyways and have NOT cashed. I have told them several times i still have it. The mgr asked me to be out by June 28th i told him i need the full 30 days i didn't get notice till June 8th, that's not enough time. Then he tells me my rent was a gift for the trouble. Also that on the 25th of June he was gonna come get the appliances...i told him i need them till i move. He said fine, he said that i will be given, my deposit when he gets the keys and appliances because the bank wants the condo empty by the 28th of June which i had a notice posted to my door that the condo goes for sale on July 1, 2010 @ 9am. The owner calls me has an attitude yelling and screaming saying she was doing me a favor i am month to month they are gonna lock me out thats why she told me not to pay rent. i again told her i have my rent in a money order and i will see her in court for my deposit. It's my belief that she intentionally foreclosed and wanted to make a little money along the way at my family's expense and now she is trying to cut a deal with her bank, not giveing me a proper 30 days notice and trying to hold my deposit over my head. It's not fair that there are people in this world take advantage of others....karma will come out in the end. wish me luck!!!!
