Iam writing of the eviction process.our son was a renter for 5 yrs in our home. We had a sub prime loan and the bank would not modify to a descent amount. our son is ill lost his job and has no medical coverage. He also has small children. We are out of state. my husband is retired and disabled. The house went to auction, then back to the bank as it did not sell. A broker was appointed, from a well known real estate firm in La jolla calif. he was rude and cold to the bone.He negotiated with the attorneys for the bank offering Cash for keys to help him move .The broker did not answer calls but eventually did telling our son he had to the 1 st of Jan. due to the holidays. He tells him he;ll get the cash for keys at that time. Our son goes outside and their is a 7 day sheriff eviction notice on the house. I call the broker who tells me I am a bad mother", maybe I should of been a better mother" and been here taking care of my son, and very sarcastically, states 'and maybe if you paid your mortgage you;d still have a house! he then hangs up on me. I call the sheriffs dept. who give me the attorneys no, then tell me on their paper work it reads ;I signed an eviction notice on oct. 30 that I;m 5ft. 4 with brown hair, the signature is 2 letters different than my name. I am 1000 miles away taking care of a dying hospice patient and have not left the state for over 6 months. The broker tells the bank our son declined the cash for keys , and now it;s a done deal. all blaten cut throat lies. I have never seen so many uncompassionate people taking advantage of people in desperate need. I bow my head in shame for the lies and corruptness going on in all our cities across the nation. god help us all. I don't have the power or finances to stop it, but I;ll be damned if I"ll sit here and say nothing. The realty office was remax in Lajolla and I;m sure the;ll all have a Merry Christmas. Take care
