Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries (FIRM)

Since 1994, Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries (FIRM) has been meeting needs of refugee communities in Fresno.  We serve mostly the Hmong, Laotian, Slavic and African people groups, which represent over 60,000 people in Fresno County.  Our mission is “Sharing Christ’s love to build communities of hope with New Americans.” We serve them through holistic neighborhood/youth outreach and enrichment programs, elder citizenship, advocacy, community gardens, health navigation and policy work, culturally appropriate community organizing, a state-licensed preschool, employment projects, an after-school program and much more.
