Tenant Foreclosure Resource Center

As a tenant, you have done nothing to create the foreclosure crisis. Yet a growing number of tenants in foreclosure situations are struggling to keep their utilities on, recover their security deposits and stay in their homes for as long as possible. Tenants Together is committed to empowering tenants to stand up to abusive and unfair conduct during the foreclosure process. To learn what your rights are and how to assert them you can:

Protect Innocent Tenants From Having their Credit Ruined by Banks
Senate Bill 1149, authored by Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro), would help protect innocent tenants from irreparable damage to their credit by limiting when post-foreclosure eviction records can be accessed by credit reporting agencies. The legislature has passed SB 1149. It is now on the governor's desk. Help us collect 1,000 signatures in one week to urge the governor to sign this bill!
