Tenants Together – Tenants Together is a nonprofit organization dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of California tenants to safe, decent and affordable housing. We expect to launch our website in March 2008.

Southern CA/Los Angeles:
- A February 22, 2008, article in the L.A. times reports on rising rents in Southern California. The article discusses the impact of foreclosures on the rental market, an issue that has been largely overlooked by the media.
- A January 11, 2008 article in the Los Angeles Times reports plans for development of Wyvernwood apartments in Boyle Heights in East LA. The property is owned by a Miami investment firm called Fifteen Group Land & Development. The owner plans to replace all existing 1,187 units of rental housing with 4,400 condos and apartments, as well as retail space.
- On December 13, the California State Supreme Court rejected a petition filed by AIMCO, owner of Lincoln Place Apartments. AIMCO was seeking to overturn a Court of Appeal ruling earlier this year that found AIMCO's evictions at Lincoln Place to be unlawful and in violation of CEQA.
- On December 5, 2007, tenants and tenant advocates in L.A. defeated
an attempt to roll back tenant relocation assistance. This was a successful effort to defend increased relocation fees that were
approved by the City Council last April.
